Chic In Chartreuse

The color Chartreuse (or Peridot) seems to induce drastically strong emotions amongst us humans. Some people have a visceral reaction to this color believing it to be too intense, slightly dizzying or claustrophobic. I disagree fully! In my opinion, chartreuse is a color that shouts with optimism and is the perfect neutral to pair with jewel tone solids, bold ikats or brass hardware.

What made me decide to paint my dressers Benjamin Moore’s Savannah Moss one Sunday night? Well to be honest it has been a trying year for me and a little color therapy was in order. I often turn to paint colors, fabric and flea market shopping as a pick me up (a glass of wine never hurts either). So as the school year is coming to a close and summer is almost upon us, I am reaching for a color that is so utterly cheerful to remind me there is always a wonderfully great road ahead of all those bumpy curves.
